Policies

Standard Deposit & Cancellation Policy

A deposit equal to one-night’s stay or 25%, whichever is greater, is required to secure your room. If you cancel your reservation by 5:00 PM Central Time 14 days before your check-in date, your deposit will be refunded minus a $25.00 cancellation fee. If you cancel after that time, your deposit will not be refunded. Unless you cancel at least 48 hours before arrival, you are responsible for the entire amount of your stay. No credit for late arrival or early departure.

Peak Season Deposit & Cancellation Policy

(Including Sugar Bowl, Mardi Gras, French Quarter Fest, Jazz Festival, Essence Fest, Southern Decadence, Halloween & New Year’s.) A minimum 50% deposit is required. If you cancel your reservation by 5:00 PM Central Time 30 days before your check-in date, your deposit will be refunded minus a $25.00 cancellation fee. Cancellation less than 30 days before arrival will result in the remaining balance being charged. Guest is responsible for the entire reservation. No credit for late arrival or early departure.

Check In/Check Out

Check in time is 2 PM. Check out time is 11 AM. Please contact the innkeeper to make early or late check-in arrangements.

Smoking Policy

All guest rooms and indoor areas of the house are non smoking. The burning of candles, incense or open flames of any kind is also prohibited. Smoking is permitted on the balconies and in the courtyard. Violation of this policy may result in immediate eviction without refund and a cleaning/loss-of-use fee of up to $500.

Parking

There is free, on-street parking readily available.

Other Important Policies

• Prior permission of management is required for registered guests to have visitors on the premises. Guests are responsible for the behavior and actions of their visitors.
• No loud music after 10 PM during week/12 AM on weekends in consideration of neighbors and other guests.
• Guests are welcome to use the hot tub in the courtyard, but please shower beforehand (state health regulations).
• For the safety and security of the home’s contents and our guests, the house is supplied with an alarm system. The alarm is set at 10 PM each night and 1 AM on weekends. Guests are given a code to control the system for entering/exiting the house when the alarm is activated.
• We love pets, but Collinwood House is not a pet-friendly B&B.
• No children under the age of 16.
• For Peak season (Sugar Bowl, Mardi Gras, French Quarter Fest, Jazz Festival, Essence Fest, Southern Decadence, Halloween & New Year’s) higher rates and minimum stays will apply.
